To Our Valued Customers:

At our request, the FDA has expanded the recall on 4oz Beefy Munchies for the possibility of contamination from Salmonella to all Beefy Munchies/Beefy Bites sold in the past year.

Smokehouse sought a larger recall out of an abundance of caution. We continue to fully cooperating with the FDA, and help coordinate any returns of the above identified product.

We are confident this issue is limited to Beefy Munchies/Beefy Bites. Smokehouse Pet Product has an existing HACCP program to control/eliminate natural microorganisms on raw animal products. We further apply drying and cooking processes for the elimination of these bacterias that are naturally found on raw animal products.

Smokehouse is proud of our consistent quality and safety processes in place. This is our first recall in 26 years of business. We apologize for this communication being late, as our efforts last week went into notifying specific customers & determining how it happened.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Supervision is always recommended when you give your dog a bone. Smokehouse Pet Products goes to great lengths to insure a safe product but we suggest you pick a suitable size bone for your dog. We suggest taking any bone away that becomes small enough to fit in your dogs mouth. In addition we suggest removing any small pieces that your dog has chewed off.
